And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Alexander manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Balboa on his heels. He'll look to pass Balboa's guard now, I'm sure.

Alexander cracks Balboa with a solid left hand.

It looks like Rocky Balboa has been cut.
Alexander stops Balboa from standing up.
Balboa tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Alexander tries to free his leg and advance position but Balboa is retaining full guard.
Alexander has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Alexander is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Balboa misses with an uppercut. Alexander saw that one coming.
Balboa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Alexander darts in looking for a takedown but Balboa gets double underhooks and turns Alexander into the cage.
Balboa lands an uppercut.

Balboa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Balboa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Alexander scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Alexander in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alexander is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Balboa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Balboa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alexander. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Balboa can do anything to dispel that myth.
Balboa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Alexander wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Alexander has an Americana. Balboa didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Alexander is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Alexander hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
