Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pizdets Polniy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergio Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pizdets Polniy!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polniy shoots in for a takedown but Tyson shows good takedown defense.

Tyson moves into range and clinches up with Polniy.
Tyson blocks an elbow strike.

Polniy breaks the clinch.

Tyson forces Polniy back against the cage and clinches.
Polniy is looking to break free of the clinch but Tyson has double underhooks.

Tyson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Polniy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Tyson stays in close to Polniy's body and controls the position.
Our spies down at at BLACKSMITH GYM - THE 25 Coach Las Vegas Mega-Gym inform us that Polniy has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

We're going to have a standup here because Sergio Tyson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Polniy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Tyson drives through with a takedown into Polniy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Polniy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Tyson lands a couple of digs.
Tyson sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Tyson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Polniy for as long as he can get away with.
Tyson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Polniy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tyson feints and as Polniy raises his hands in defense, Tyson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Polniy wants to stand up but Tyson is controlling him.
Tyson wants to control from the top but Polniy keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Polniy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tyson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Polniy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tyson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Tyson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Tyson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tyson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Sergio Tyson just wasn't active enough.
Polniy tries to clinch up.
Polniy shoots in looking for a takedown. Tyson tries to sprawl out of it but Polniy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tyson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sergio Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pizdets Polniy.

Tyson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Polniy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tyson is in Polniy's guard.

Tyson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Polniy is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Polniy takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Polniy tries to escape but Tyson is in control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sergio Tyson dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Tyson lands with a kick to the ribs.

Tyson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The referee asks Tyson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tyson prefers to stall for the moment though.

Tyson has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Tyson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Polniy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Polniy slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tyson is controlling the pace.
Polniy has hold of Tyson's hands but Tyson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Polniy is still in real trouble! Can Tyson finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tyson moves into full mount! Polniy won't be happy about that!
Polniy seems to have recovered his senses.

A big strike lands for Tyson! That's really hurt Polniy and he's turned his back - Tyson keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Tyson jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sergio Tyson!
