The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dighead lands with a good body shot.
Pegg walks forward, straight into a front kick from Dighead.
Sloppy strikes from Dighead. Those never looked like landing.
Dighead fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pegg looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dighead misses with a head kick.
Pegg takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

and Dighead counters with a flying knee. Nice.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dighead is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Pegg is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Dighead is keeping busy.
Pegg has Dighead pressed against the cage, preventing Dighead from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

We've been hearing reports that Pegg has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Dighead fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pegg has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Curtis Dighead is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Pegg ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dighead throws an overhand right that lands on Pegg's shoulder, as Pegg tries to avoid the shot.

Pegg sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Dighead throws a series of punches but Pegg moves out of range.
