Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scotty Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rurik Damned (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damned fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Carter is out of range.
Carter fails with a takedown attempt.
Carter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Damned looks to score with a jab to the body but Carter is just out of range.
Carter dives in and grabs Damned's left leg, looking for a takedown. Damned pushes down on Carter's head and hops out.
Damned throws out a leg kick but Carter moves out of range and Damned only half commits.
Damned dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Damned throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Damned.

Damned lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Carter moves out of range of the leg kick from Damned.

Carter shoots in and drives through. Damned sprawls well.
Carter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Damned will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Carter tries to clinch up but Damned circles away and keeps his distance.

Rurik Damned is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carter takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Carter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Damned looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Damned can't do much from the bottom here.

Damned tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Carter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Damned managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Carter.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Carter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Damned has escaped the position, nice work there.

Carter takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Damned rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Damned throws a looping overhand right but Carter ducks down to avoid it.
Damned uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Carter has time to react.

Carter tries to pull guard but Damned won't allow it.

Carter pulls guard effortlessly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Carter manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Damned misses with some punches.
Damned lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Carter is trying to pull guard but Damned turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Carter throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Carter looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Damned is defending well. Carter quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Damned has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Carter celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
