The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malapitan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Malapitan wants it to stay on the feet.
Malapitan connects with a body shot that sends Gil's belly button to the back.
Gil fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Malapitan manages to avoid it.
Gil throws a head kick but Malapitan moves out of range.
Gil shoots in for a takedown but Malapitan shows good takedown defense.
Malapitan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Gil is trying hard to land a takedown here. Malapitan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seu Gil. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gil shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malapitan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gil looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gil is breathing heavily.

Malapitan cracks Gil with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Gil looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Malapitan finish him?

Gil is rocked!
Are you kidding me?! Malapitan ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Gil clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
