Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robby Dollaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil Solomon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robby Dollaz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dollaz rushes Solomon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Dollaz pulls guard successfully.
Dollaz wants to sweep but no luck.

Dollaz is working an open guard so Solomon takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Dollaz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Solomon, pushing him back against the cage.
Dollaz has had enough of the clinch but Solomon keeps him there for the moment.

Dollaz has Solomon pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dollaz pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Solomon tumbling to the mat - Dollaz dives into Solomon's guard.
Dollaz throws a big elbow that misses.
Dollaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Solomon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Solomon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dollaz controls the pace.
Dollaz passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Dollaz in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Solomon managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Dollaz.
Dollaz throws an elbow but Solomon slips to the side and avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dollaz tries to stand but Solomon is controlling his head.
Dollaz advances to mount.
Dollaz avoids the attempt from Solomon to control.

Dollaz with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Dollaz is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Solomon is surviving well by controlling Dollaz's body position as best he can.

Dollaz is looking to stand but Dollaz has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Dollaz wants to control the pace but Solomon is squirming around nicely.

Dollaz jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Solomon is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Solomon and Dollaz has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dollaz tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Dollaz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Solomon is trying to defend but Dollaz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Dollaz slows the pace down in half guard.
Let's hope that Dollaz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Dollaz stops Solomon from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Robby Dollaz.

Dollaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Solomon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dollaz sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Dollaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solomon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dollaz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Dollaz's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Robby Dollaz.
Dollaz misses the shot to the body.

Dollaz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Solomon quickly recovers to half guard.
Dollaz wants to stand up but Solomon has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Dollaz is taking a breather. Solomon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Dollaz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Dollaz sitting and controlling from the half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Robby Dollaz wasn't active enough on the ground.
Solomon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dollaz's waist but Dollaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Solomon off to one side.
Dollaz closes the distance but Solomon moves to the side
and Solomon counters with a three punch combo that has Dollaz backing up. Dollaz nods at Solomon to acknowledge the strikes.

Dollaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Solomon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dollaz passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Dollaz lands a decent elbow from side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dollaz is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Solomon will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Robby Dollaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Dollaz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Solomon's half guard.
Dollaz content to control rather than advance.
Dollaz passes into side control, despite Solomon's attempt to control the position.

Dollaz wants to stand but Solomon has his arm trapped.
Solomon stops Dollaz from passing to mount.
Dollaz tries to stand but Solomon is controlling his head.

Solomon is not content to let Dollaz control the position.

Dollaz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Solomon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dollaz works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Dollaz throws a strike aimed at the side of Solomon's head but Solomon avoids it well.
Dollaz tries to stand but Solomon is controlling his head.
Dollaz creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Solomon sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Well Dollaz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
