Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trumi Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Forrest Griffin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Griffin paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Griffin scores with a takedown into Drake's guard.
Griffin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Griffin wants to control from the top but Drake keeps moving.

Drake has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Griffin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Griffin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Drake's head.
Drake knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Griffin on the ground.
Drake wants to sweep here but Griffin controlling him for the moment.
Drake is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Griffin dives into side control.
Drake wants to get back to his feet but Griffin drags him back down.

Griffin is working to tighten his grip on Drake's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Drake has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Griffin is really squeezing tight and eventually Drake passes out! Griffin breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
