The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hugoboss avoids a punch combination nicely.
Johnson lands a high kick to the side of Hugoboss's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Johnson dives into guard, looking to finish.

Hugoboss is rocked!

Hugoboss uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Hugoboss is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?

Hugoboss forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches.
Hugoboss seems to have recovered his senses.
Johnson wants to break free but Hugoboss has control.
Johnson can't break the clinch.
Johnson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hugoboss drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Hugoboss pulls guard.
Johnson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hugoboss's guard.
Johnson wants to stand and escape but instead Hugoboss has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Hugoboss stands and steps away. Johnson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hugoboss throws a head kick that misses.
Johnson throws a left that rocks Hugoboss and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Johnson dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Hugoboss regain composure!
Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hugoboss on the ground.

Hugoboss tries to bench press Johnson off him but Johnson keeps the position.

Hugoboss pushes Johnson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Johnson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Hugoboss throws Johnson to one side and escapes!
Rex Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Johnson drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Hugoboss right on the button. Hugoboss goes down! Johnson follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Johnson gets the win via TKO!
