Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Laverne Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Price fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Black avoids it really well and circles away.
Price shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Black sprawls well. Black wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Price gets slowly back to his feet.
A good leg kick by Price.
Price tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Black was well out of range. Poor timing from Price.

Price thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Black if he has to take too many more of those.

Black could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Price would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Price postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Price tries for a takedown but Black sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Price tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Black paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Black goes for a double leg but Price avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Price continues to drive forward.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Black is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Price is surviving well by controlling Black's body position as best he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Black wants to finish this one by submission but Price is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Black.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Price tries to clinch but Black moves out of range.
Price tries to clinch up but Black circles away and keeps his distance.
Black walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Laverne Black is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Price tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Black is able to avoid easily.

Price lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Pat Price seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Price is breathing heavily.

Black closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Price to the mat! Price manages to get full guard.
Black stays in close to Price's body and controls the position.
Price looking for a sweep. Not yet Price, not yet.
Black controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Price. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Black throws an elbow that misses. Price uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Black's guard. Nice move by Price!

Black has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Laverne Black wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Price fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Black.
Black takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Price shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Black as he avoids it easily.
Laverne Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pat Price.
Price defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Black.
Price tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Black defends well and Price ends up having to push Black into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Black tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Black has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close second round but I would say that Laverne Black will probably get the nod.
That's time! Black's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
