The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLean misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nickson.
McLean throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Nickson counters with a nice uppercut.
We've been told by McLean's head coaches at Synergy Fight Team (ACME) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Nickson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nickson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nickson misses with a looping left.
McLean throws an overhand right that lands on Nickson's shoulder, as Nickson tries to avoid the shot.
McLean scores with a nice head shot.
Nickson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McLean scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like James Nickson has been cut.
McLean throws a chopping leg kick but Nickson manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A swing and a miss from Nickson.
McLean looks to throw the jab but Nickson is out of range.
McLean takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nickson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nickson there as he acknowledges the shot.
McLean swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McLean avoids a punch combination nicely.
Alistar McLean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McLean fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nickson manages to avoid it.
A right-left combo lands from Nickson.
It looks like Alistar McLean has been cut.
McLean missing with a left hand there. Nickson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

McLean throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Nickson counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
