Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tolo Seia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick McWhiskey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Seia might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Limp Bizkit - Thieves. McWhiskey comes into a darkened arena with his song building. ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tolo Seia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick McWhiskey!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seia swats away the attempt to clinch by McWhiskey.
McWhiskey has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Seia misses with a kick to the body

and McWhiskey counters with a shoot takedown. Seia fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
McWhiskey pushes down on Seia's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Seia wants to get back to his feet.
Seia is looking to improve his position.

McWhiskey is trying to work for a kimura but Seia is defending well.

McWhiskey is working for a kimura but Seia is defending it quite comfortably.

McWhiskey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Seia doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McWhiskey.

That's one minute gone in the round.

McWhiskey has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Seia defend it? McWhiskey steps over the head and cranks it - Seia is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for McWhiskey!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Patrick McWhiskey!
After the fight, Patrick McWhiskey was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
