Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between bock lener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Vatali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, bock lener!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Vatali!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vatali moves into the clinch.
lener is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Vatali lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of lener backwards.
Vatali lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down lener.
lener is trying to break the clinch but Vatali has him pressed against the cage.
lener wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vatali has him pressed against the cage.
Vatali scores with an uppercut up the middle.
lener is pressed up against the cage. Vatali has hold of a leg and is looking to drag lener down to the mat. lener avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Vatali moves out of range of the body kick from lener.
lener throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
lener misses with a wild combination.
Vatali avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
lener throws a leg kick but Vatali sees it coming and checks it nicely.
lener throws a head kick but Vatali moves out of range.
lener throws a sloppy head kick and Vatali moves out of range easily.
lener wants to slow Vatali down by chopping away at his legs.
Vatali darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
lener could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Vatali working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
lener tries to kick Vatali off but Vatali keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Vatali frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Vatali has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of lener's face.

You get the feeling that lener really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Vatali is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. lener can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
lener tries to buck Vatali off but he can't manage it.
Vatali with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Vatali won't let lener get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
lener is breathing heavily.

lener is squirming around, avoiding Vatali's attempts to control the action.
Vatali landing strikes from the mount.
lener in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vatali looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
lener squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Vatali wants to control the pace but lener is squirming around nicely.

BOOM! Vatali connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Vatali landing punches.
lener is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Vatali lands with some strikes.
Oh lener is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
lener knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vatali on the ground.

lener seems to have got his legs back now.
A nice elbow there by Vatali.
Vatali unloads with some vicious shots from mount and lener wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Vatali celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
