The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rooijakker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
St Taylor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Rooijakker is defending against the submission attempts here by St Taylor.
St Taylor passes to side control.
St Taylor has hold of Rooijakker's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rooijakker tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - St Taylor cranks the arm and Rooijakker screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rooijakker, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
