Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyoto Machida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Kerr misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kerr.
Oooh a lovely combination from Kerr sends Machida down but not out. Kerr dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Lyoto Machida has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kerr controls the position.
Kerr tries to advance to mount but can't.
Machida is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Kerr misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Kerr is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Machida's shoulder. That is not cool.

Kerr decides to stand back up. Kerr steps back and let's Machida get back to his feet.

Kerr rushes Machida and presses him up against the cage.

Kerr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kerr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kerr tries to close the distance and clinch but Machida swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

No joy there for Machida, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice takedown defense from Machida. No joy for Kerr on that attempt.
Kerr shoots in and drives through. Machida sprawls well.

Machida throws a head kick but Kerr moves out of range.
Lyoto Machida is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kerr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machida's waist but Machida gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kerr off to one side.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kerr is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Machida has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Machida!

and Machida counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kerr is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Machida throws a combination. Kerr tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Machida lands with a kick to the temple. Kerr shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Machida throws a right and a left that Kerr avoids nicely.
Nice uppercut lands for Machida. That snapped Kerr's head back.

Machida cracks Kerr with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Machida will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
