Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belingon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Belingon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Martinez quickly recovers to half guard.

Belingon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Belingon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Martinez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Belingon, into his guard.
Belingon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Martinez is staying active underneath Belingon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Belingon is looking to advance position but Martinez won't allow it.
Martinez wants to get back to full guard.

Belingon uses his free foot to push down on Martinez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Martinez.
Martinez tries to hold on but Belingon pushes him away.

Belingon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Martinez's guard.
Belingon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Martinez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Martinez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Belingon defends it easily.
Martinez is adopting a defensive guard.

Belingon wants to pass the guard but Martinez is keeping the position.
Belingon looking to sit in guard and control but Martinez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Belingon trying to keep a closed guard but Martinez is proving a slippery customer.

Martinez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

I would just about give that final round to Kevin Belingon.
Well Belingon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
