The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stern shoots in looking for a takedown but Saur manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stern's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Saur shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stern is trying to defend but Saur finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Saur thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stern's head.
Stern definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Stern manages to get to full guard.
Stern lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Saur!
Stern looking to secure an arm triangle but Saur defends it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Saur tries to improve his position but Stern has taken his back! Stern has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Saur tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Stern pushes Saur away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
