Creed is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by James Brown - Living in America. Apollo Creed acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maci Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Apollo Creed!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a hook to the side of Creed's head but Creed sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Creed with a jab.
Creed leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Creed stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Jones on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Creed manages to avoid it.
Jones misses with a right hand
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Creed throws a shot to the body.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Creed scores with a nice head shot.

Creed moves into the clinch.
Creed should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Creed breaks from the clinch.
We've been told by Jones's head coaches at Midnight MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Creed scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Creed feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jones sprawling to the canvas! Jones rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Creed finish him?!

Jones is rocked!

Creed gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Creed lands a shot to the body.
Creed is working Jones over against the cage.
Creed creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Jones's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Jones drops to his knees and Creed pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Apollo Creed looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Im back, bitches!'.
