Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Olegovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aldo comes to the cage accompanied by dmx. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo forces Olegovich back against the cage and clinches.
Olegovich has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Aldo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Aldo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Olegovich can't fight it off and eventually Aldo manages to take the fight to the floor. Olegovich looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Olegovich is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Olegovich manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Olegovich lands a takedown into guard.
Olegovich postures up in Aldo's guard and throws a big left but Aldo blocks it.
Olegovich drops back, looking for a kneebar! Aldo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Aldo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Aldo!

Olegovich manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Aldo wants to stand but Olegovich has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Aldo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Olegovich on the ground.

Olegovich is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Olegovich shoots in looking for a takedown. Aldo tries to sprawl out of it but Olegovich keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Aldo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Olegovich drops down looking for an ankle pick but Aldo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Olegovich fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jose Aldo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Olegovich.
Olegovich tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Aldo defends well and Olegovich ends up having to push Aldo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Olegovich has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Aldo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Olegovich.

After the fight, Oleg Olegovich was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
