Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drazen Kadoic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Copeland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Copeland is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Avenged Sevenfold-Beast and the Harlot. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drazen Kadoic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Copeland!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kadoic throws a nice inside leg kick.
Copeland lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kadoic throws a low kick, looking for Copeland's leg but Copeland calmly moves out of range.
Copeland on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Copeland will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kadoic swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Kadoic lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kadoic scores with a head kick. Copeland tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Jay Copeland has been cut.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kadoic wants to control but Copeland postures up.

What's Kadoic going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Copeland throwing strikes but Kadoic manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Kadoic is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Copeland is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Copeland is looking for a sweep. Kadoic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Copeland is looking to control Kadoic's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Copeland avoid being mounted?

Kadoic keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Copeland keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kadoic's head.

Copeland throws a strike but Kadoic rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kadoic wants to control from the top but Copeland keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kadoic seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kadoic would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A punch lands to the side of Copeland 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Copeland moves out of range of the strikes.
Kadoic fails with an attempt to clinch.
Copeland misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kadoic lands with a thumping leg kick.
Drazen Kadoic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Copeland shoots in looking for a takedown but Kadoic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Copeland's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Good exchange - Kadoic coming out on top.
Kadoic lands a big head kick that sends Copeland to the canvas! Kadoic follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drazen Kadoic!
During a confident post fight interview, Drazen Kadoic thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
