Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bloody Gutz!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Frost looks to land a combination but Gutz avoids it well.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gutz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gutz avoids the head kick by Frost.
Frost lands a front kick.
Gutz misses with a combination
and Frost counters with a head kick that drops Gutz to the mat! Gutz scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gutz misses the shot to the body.
Gutz checks a leg kick nicely.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Frost, right into the meat.
Gutz slips under a jab from Frost.
Frost misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gutz.
Frost fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Gutz is out of range.
Frost throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gutz jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Frost getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
A slow jab from Gutz misses its intended target.
Frost lands a big head kick that sends Gutz tumbling to the mat! Frost takes a step backwards and waves Gutz back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Gutz is rocked!
It looks like Bloody Gutz has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Frost throws a head kick but Gutz moves out of range.
Gutz is still on wobbly legs! Can Frost finish him?
Gutz misses with a wild body shot.
Gutz seems to have recovered his senses.
Frost drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Gutz right on the button. Gutz goes down! Frost follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Frost gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jackson Frost!
Jackson Frost tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
