Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Goldman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keith Young!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Goldman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Young looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Young is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Goldman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Goldman is working for a submission of some sort.
Young has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at HILITE Fighting Club. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Goldman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Young does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Young displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Goldman.

Young throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Goldman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Young tries to avoid it but Goldman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Young to the ground. Young escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Goldman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Young's guard now.

Goldman chips away with some ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Goldman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Young has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Goldman has passed into side control.

Goldman is looking to take a break and control but Young is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

You can see the frustration on Young's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Goldman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Young defends it nicely.
Young throws a body punch but Goldman moves out of range.

Goldman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Goldman is in close to Young's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Young throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Goldman escapes and throws Young's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Young tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Goldman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Goldman lands a decent elbow from side control.
Young is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Goldman is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Young is desperately trying to improve his position but Goldman has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Oooh a big shot lands for Goldman! Young is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
