And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Lincoln!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lincoln throws a leg kick that is checked

and Hernandez counters with a nice double leg into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Lincoln keeping moving, preventing Hernandez from controlling successfully.
Lincoln really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hernandez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lincoln wants to stand but Hernandez is controlling the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lincoln can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lincoln has momentary wrist control but Hernandez slips an elbow through the middle.
Hernandez tries to free his leg and advance position but Lincoln is retaining full guard.

Hernandez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lincoln looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lincoln looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lincoln!
Hernandez tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Lincoln wants to stand but Hernandez is controlling his arm.
Hernandez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lincoln wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hernandez gets back to half guard.

Hernandez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Hernandez regains full guard. Nicely done.
Lincoln must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Lincoln is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Hernandez has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lincoln is looking to defend but Hernandez has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lincoln! Hernandez pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lincoln taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Miguel Hernandez!
