And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Brunner!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tries to clinch but Brunner moves out of range.
Brunner keeps the fight on the outside.
Williams wants to clinch.

Williams fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brunner, pushing him back against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Williams throws an elbow but misses.
Williams wants to break free but Brunner has control.
Williams changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brunner fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Williams shoots in and drives through. Brunner sprawls well.

Brunner feints and as Williams raises his hands in defense, Brunner changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brunner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Williams doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Brunner counters with a low kick, right behind Williams 's knee.
Brunner looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Brunner counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Williams's guard now.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Brunner rushes Williams and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Brunner is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Williams pulls him back up using the underhooks.

and Brunner counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Brunner.
Brunner is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Williams is keeping busy.

Williams looking to throw knees to the head but Brunner is blocking nicely.
Brunner goes for a takedown attempt but Williams pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Brunner slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Brunner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brunner won't allow Williams to sweep him here.
Williams wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Brunner is now in half guard.

Sergey Brunner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
