PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Dole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Thiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dole comes into the arena with Tear Away by Drowning Pool blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thiel stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dole.
Dole lands with a shot to the body.
Thiel fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A jab-cross combination lands for Dole and sends Thiel crashing to the mat! Dole follows him down to the mat - Thiel regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Dave Thiel has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dole seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Thiel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Thiel has hold of Dole's hands but Dole slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Thiel is rocked!

Thiel is still in real trouble! Can Dole finish him?
Thiel is looking to improve his position.
Thiel looks gassed!
Dole working over Thiel with some ground and pound. Thiel looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Dole lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Thiel quite badly. Thiel pulls Dole in close trying to recover. Dole postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Thiel on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Thiel doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
