Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevon Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trevon Martin has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Trevon Martin!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin lands an overhand right.

Martin throws a hook to the side of Bush's head but Bush sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Martin lands a really nice looking cross but Bush seems unphased.

Bush decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bush connects with a nice short shot to Martin's temple.
Martin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Martin's coach down at Academy of Combat was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Martin's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

That was a close round but I would say that George Bush will probably get the nod.

Martin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Trevon Martin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
