Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michak Ropuia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Dux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ropuia comes to the ring accompanied by Here comes the pain - Slayer. Dux is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bloodsport - Fight to Survive. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Dux!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ropuia drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Dux lands a glancing blow to the side of Ropuia's head.
Ropuia has Dux up against the ropes in a clinch.
Dux's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ropuia shoots and misses
and Dux counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dux connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ropuia has his takedown stuffed
and Dux makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Dux throws a quick inside leg kick.
Dux checks a low kick from Ropuia.
Ropuia gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dux counters with a nice leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michak Ropuia. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dux moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Good leg kick by Dux there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ropuia has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dux finds it's way round the side to connect with Ropuia's head.

and Dux counters with a leg kick.
Ropuia gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ropuia takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Frank Dux is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dux chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Dux throws a quick inside leg kick.
Dux throws a shot to the body.
Ropuia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ropuia is breathing heavily.
Dux moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ropuia is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Ropuia gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Dux thuds a left hand into Ropuia's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Dux counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dux connects with a body shot that sends Ropuia's belly button to the back.
Dux lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ropuia misses with a takedown
and Dux counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dux throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dux takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Ropuia misses with a body kick.
Dux moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ropuia tries for a takedown but Dux circles away easily
and Dux counters with a good low kick that Ropuia was not able to check.
Dux connects with the punch.
Dux paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ropuia shoots in and gets a takedown into Dux's guard.
Dux is looking to stand up but Ropuia isn't so interested in that idea.
Ropuia stands and steps away. Dux gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Dux counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ropuia's knee momentarily.
Ropuia has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dux.
Ropuia doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dux connects with a looping right hand.
A combination from Ropuia does no damage.
Ropuia takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A slapping leg kick lands for Dux.
Ropuia throws a nice looking combination but Dux bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ropuia shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Dux to counter with a crisp jab.
Dux throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Ropuia wants to clinch but Dux slips to the side
and Dux counters with a good low kick that Ropuia was not able to check.
Dux scores with a jab to the body.
Dux lands a slapping body shot.
Dux scores with a head kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice uppercut lands for Dux. That snapped Ropuia's head back.
Dux throws a front kick that sends Ropuia stumbling back into the ropes.
Dux is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ropuia had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Dux scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Michak Ropuia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dux fakes the leg kick and cracks Ropuia in the body.
Dux lands a jab to Ropuia's midsection.

Dux lands with a straight right. Ropuia didn't see that one coming.
Ropuia is rocked!
Dux cracks Ropuia with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Ropuia falls to his knees and Dux doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Dux!
Frank Dux made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'This was a big fight and a huge win for me. Thanks to everyone in my camp and back at the gym for getting me to this point. Hi Mom!!!!'.
