Rutecki comes to the cage accompanied by Remember the Name. walker has chosen The Doors - Peace Frog as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutecki tries to clinch there but walker circles away.
walker shoots for a takedown but Rutecki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
walker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
walker throws a nice looking combination but Rutecki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
walker has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

walker controls Rutecki momentarily but Rutecki frees himself.
walker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

walker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and walker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

walker is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rutecki defends it well.
walker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rutecki does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
walker is taking a breather. Rutecki says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

walker shoots in looking for a takedown. Rutecki tries to sprawl out of it but walker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rutecki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
