Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Timbo Styless!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyson Pain!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain misses with a takedown attempt
and Styless cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Styless throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Pain shoots in and bounces Styless off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pain accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Styless pulls Pain in close to prevent any damage.
Styless is trying to control the position but Pain postures up.
Pain wants to control from the top but Styless keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Styless trying to keep a closed guard but Pain is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Timbo Styless wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Pain is trying hard to land a takedown here. Styless sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pain tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Styless lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pain has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pain and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Pain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Styless counters with a low kick, right behind Pain 's knee.
Timbo Styless has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Pain.

Pain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Styless looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Styless isn't going anywhere.
Styless is trying to control Pain's posture but Pain avoids it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pain is trying to get an arm triangle but Styless is defending well.
Pain working away.
Styless is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pain off and has taken his back!
Styless is trying to stick to Pain's back but Pain is turning into Styless. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Styless's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pain.
Styless is pulling down on Pain's head to control his posture.

Pain is stalling in the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pain in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Styless holds on and takes a little breather.

and Styless counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Styless counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Pain dives in and grabs Styless's left leg, looking for a takedown. Styless pushes down on Pain's head and hops out.
Pain fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Styless gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Styless pulls Pain in close to prevent any damage.
Pain is looking to advance position but Styless has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Styless looking to control but Pain is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Styless has control of Pain's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pain regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Pain doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Styless counters with a thumping low kick.
Styless smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Styless tries a head kick but it misses.
Styless displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pain.
Styless scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Pain drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Pain has hold of Styless's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Styless tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pain cranks the arm and Styless screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Styless, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
