Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ncolas St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Dead & Buried as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Jones!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a right and a left that St Pierre avoids nicely.
Justin Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
St Pierre keeps the fight on the outside.
St Pierre fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt.

St Pierre fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
Jones tries to break the clinch but St Pierre is controlling the position.

St Pierre manages to break the clinch.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
St Pierre tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
St Pierre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around St Pierre's waist but St Pierre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

St Pierre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

St Pierre is trying to control the position but Jones postures up.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

St Pierre has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jones is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for St Pierre.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ncolas St Pierre will probably get the nod.
