The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmberg throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Holmberg shoots and misses

and Boudreault counters with a single leg into guard. Holmberg didn't expect that.

Lenart Holmberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Holmberg stuffs the takedown attempt from Boudreault. Boudreault gets slowly back to his feet.

Holmberg has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Boudreault is landing a low percentage of strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Rob Boudreault has been cut.

Boudreault shoots in for a takedown but Holmberg shows good takedown defense.

Boudreault gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Holmberg to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lenart Holmberg was stalling too much, according to the referee.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Boudreault enables Holmberg to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Boudreault manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Boudreault is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Holmberg gets his way!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Holmberg throws a sloppy head kick and Boudreault moves out of range easily.
Rob Boudreault is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Holmberg fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Boudreault to the ground. Holmberg is now in Boudreault's guard.
Boudreault will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Holmberg drops back looking for a leg! Boudreault is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boudreault manages to kick Holmberg off! Holmberg jumps back into Boudreault's guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lenart Holmberg hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Holmberg closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Holmberg lands in his opponent's guard.

Holmberg decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Boudreault doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Holmberg counters with a slapping leg kick.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Boudreault takes one on the chin but seems OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Holmberg lands a brutal head kick. Boudreault looks out on his feet and Holmberg throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

In his post fight interview, Lenart Holmberg started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
