Gillis comes to the cage accompanied by I Don't Feel Like Dancing - Scissor Sisters. Lei Kung has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jamie Gillis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jamie Gillis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lei Kung!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kung throws the left hand but Gillis avoids the punch easily.
Kung throws a push kick but Gillis slaps the foot to one side.
Kung uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gillis.
Gillis looks for a takedown but Kung sprawls well.
Gillis moves out of range of the body kick from Kung.
Gillis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kung connects with a nice looking jab.
Kung slips a straight right by Gillis.
Kung takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Gillis throws a series of punches but Kung avoids them all with ease.
Kung with a hook.


It looks like Jamie Gillis has been cut.
Gillis takes a swing at Kung's ribcage but misses.
Kung connects with a leg kick. Gillis looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Gillis throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kung has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kung tries to land a front kick but Gillis steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Kung moves out of range of the strikes.
Kung tries to land a leg kick but Gillis saw it coming and moves away.

Gillis takes a jab right on the kisser.

Kung throws a leg kick which misses Gillis's front leg but catches the back leg as Gillis tries to avoid it.

Gillis moves out of range of the body kick from Kung.
Gillis takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Kung connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Kung stuffs the takedown attempt from Gillis. Gillis gets slowly back to his feet.

Gillis is rocked!
Lei Kung is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kung wants to slow Gillis down by chopping away at his legs.
Kung blocks a jab.
Kung misses with a straight left.
Gillis looks to land a right hand but Kung moved out of range.

Gillis stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kung.

Kung looks to score with a jab to the body but Gillis is just out of range.

Gillis takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Gillis is breathing heavily.
Kung swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gillis.
Crunch! Kung slams his shin into Gillis's torso.

Kung connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Kung lands a big right hand that sends Gillis crashing to the mat! Kung stays standing though and waves Gillis back to his feet!
Oh Gillis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!


Jamie Gillis's cut is getting worse.
Gillis checks the leg kick nicely there.
Gillis seems to have got his legs back now.
Kung lands a leg kick that knocks Gillis off balance momentarily.
Kung turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gillis moves out of range of the body kick.

Gillis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kung.
A punch lands to the side of Gillis 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kung throws a wild body kick that Gillis sees coming a mile off.

Kung sends Gillis crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kung is motioning to the referee to let Gillis up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Both fighters circling a little - Kung finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kung delivers a nice body kick.

Kung cracks Gillis with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kung has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gillis to stand back up!


Jamie Gillis's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Kung throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Gillis swats away the attempt to clinch by Kung.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kung.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kung lands with a good body shot.
Kung scoring well with a low kick there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lei Kung dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jamie Gillis's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kung throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kung lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kung swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kung takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kung throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kung looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kung misses with a head kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kung. That's going to slow Gillis down.
Kung dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gillis. That did some damage!
Kung throws a low kick but Gillis avoids it.
Kung goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kung scores with a spinning back kick!
Gillis takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kung looks to land a body kick but Gillis moved away.

Kung keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kung lands with a nice body kick.
Gillis will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Kung dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kung - that will leave a mark!

Kung lands a big head kick that sends Gillis tumbling to the mat! Kung takes a step backwards and waves Gillis back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kung circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Gillis to the canvas! Gillis doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Kung keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lei Kung!
Our winner, Lei Kung, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
In defeat, Jamie Gillis stepped up to the mic, saying 'Sorry fans, sorry for this fight. I got to aggressive and didn't follow the game-plan. But you know what win, lose, or draw I will be back for you guys. After party? there won't be. The thing was I trained hard for this fight and for it not to go my way really sucks but it is what it is now going '.
