PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jan Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kettu Pentti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kettu Pentti!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel misses with a wild combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pentti looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pentti gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pentti throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Steel blocks it with crossed arms.
Pentti lands a nice elbow.
Pentti lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Pentti drops down looking for an ankle pick but Steel pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pentti shoots for a double leg takedown but Steel sprawls well. He's pushed Pentti's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel cracks Pentti with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Steel has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pentti to stand back up!

Pentti is rocked!

It looks like Kettu Pentti has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steel throws an overhand right that drops Pentti like a sack of potatoes! Steel dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
