Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexandre Ferreira Da Serra!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyatt scores with a jab to the head.


It looks like Alexandre Ferreira Da Serra has been cut.
Hyatt misses the shot to the body.
Hyatt jabs at Da Serra's body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hyatt.
Hyatt throws a leg kick but Da Serra sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hyatt darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

and Da Serra counters with a takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hyatt tries to improve position but can't.
Da Serra tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Hyatt has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Da Serra working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Da Serra has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Caveman Fight Team. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

A control attempt from Hyatt but he's now mounted!
Da Serra wants to control the pace but Hyatt is squirming around nicely.
Hyatt wants to control but Da Serra is having none of it.
Hyatt is squirming around, avoiding Da Serra's attempts to control the action.

Da Serra is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hyatt can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Hyatt is wriggling around trying to escape.

Da Serra fails to take his opponent's back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hyatt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Da Serra looking to control but Hyatt is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hyatt is looking to improve his position but Da Serra isn't that keen on the idea.
Hyatt wants to control but Da Serra is having none of it.

Da Serra looking to isolate an arm here. Hyatt doesn't see it coming and as Da Serra extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Da Serra!
