The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandford misses the body punch
and Collins counters with a three punch combo that has Sandford backing up. Sandford nods at Collins to acknowledge the strikes.
James Sandford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sandford fails with a takedown attempt.
Sandford looks to land a combination but Collins avoids it well.
A telegraphed right hand from Sandford misses the target.
Sandford throws a shot from downtown. Collins moves away and avoids it.
Sandford throws a hook to the side of Collins's head but Collins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sandford dives in for a single leg takedown but Collins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Collins has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Sandford is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Collins can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Sandford is looking to work his way around to Collins's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
