PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henzo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunn has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Dunn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gracie tries to clinch but Dunn moves out of range.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - Dunn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dunn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gracie avoids it really well and circles away.

Dunn avoids the head kick by Gracie.
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Dunn sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dunn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gracie manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dunn on his heels. He'll look to pass Dunn's guard now, I'm sure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Henzo Gracie.
Gracie lets loose with a powerful body kick. Dunn will feel that in the morning.
Dunn walks into a stiff left hand from Gracie.
Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Dunn circles away.
Dunn shoots for a takedown but Gracie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gracie fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henzo Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dunn gets caught flat footed, as Gracie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gracie passes Dunn's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gracie passes the guard and advances to mount!
Gracie fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gracie is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gracie extends the arm and Dunn is forced to tap!
