The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Leary misses with a wild combination.
O Leary's corner calls for a 1-2. O Leary obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
McCann throws a series of punches but O Leary avoids them all with ease.
O Leary throws a chopping leg kick but McCann manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
O Leary looks to land a left hand but McCann moved out of range nicely.
McCann takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
McCann shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has O Leary pinned against the cage. O Leary gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
McCann closes the distance and clinches up with O Leary, looking for a takedown. McCann pushes O Leary against the ropes but O Leary circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
O Leary swings and misses with a hook to the body.

so McCann counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

McCann seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but O Leary does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

and McCann counters with a left and a right that stings O Leary.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

O Leary lands a with a good body shot.
William O Leary seems to be getting the better of the standup.
McCann closes this distance looking for a takedown but O Leary circles away.
O Leary is looking to slow McCann down with leg kicks.
O Leary rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McCann moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

and McCann counters with a three punch combo that has O Leary backing up. O Leary nods at McCann to acknowledge the strikes.

Oh but McCann is tightening it up a little... O Leary has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! O Leary reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! O Leary taps out! nice BJJ there by McCann!
