Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andre Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gorge Jurgel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jurgel's choice of entrance music: Rock N Roll Train. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gorge Jurgel!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurgel lands a slapping body shot.

Bishop scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jurgel moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bishop is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bishop fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jurgel sprawls well initially but Bishop persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bishop has managed to clinch.

Jurgel gets control of Bishop's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jurgel will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jurgel enables Bishop to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jurgel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bishop closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gorge Jurgel was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Bishop feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

No joy there for Jurgel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Let's hope that Jurgel has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bishop, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
