Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake The Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Voss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake The Snake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Voss!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Snake shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The Snake tries to close the distance and clinch up but Voss swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Voss dives in for a single leg takedown but The Snake sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
The Snake is stalling here.
Voss jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as The Snake walks away with a smile on his face. Voss gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The Snake looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The Snake postures up in Voss's guard and throws a big left but Voss blocks it.
The Snake content to stall in guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The Snake throwing strikes from guard but Voss blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Voss tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The Snake is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Voss wants to stand up but The Snake is controlling him.
Voss can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as The Snake controls the pace.
The Snake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jake The Snake.
Voss dives in and grabs The Snake's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Snake pushes down on Voss's head and hops out.
Jake The Snake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Voss.

Excellent takedown into side control there by The Snake.
The Snake tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Voss is not content to let The Snake control the position.
Voss tries to improve position but can't.

Voss trying to remain calm as The Snake controls from the top position.
Voss wants to control but The Snake postures up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The Snake clinches.

The Snake wants to take the fight to the mat but Voss manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

The Snake really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The Snake striking off his back but it's not causing Voss any problems.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Snake shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Voss is trying to defend but The Snake finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
