The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Witson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Witson misses with a double jab.
Witson lands a nice looking kick to the body. Jackman takes a step back to recover.
Witson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Witson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Madz in the buildup to the fight.
Witson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hugh Jackman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Witson lands the left hand.
Witson digs a good body shot into Jackman's ribs.
Jackman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Witson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jackman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jackman misses with an uppercut. Witson saw that one coming.
A low kick from Jackman misses
and Witson counters with a three punch combo that has Jackman backing up. Jackman nods at Witson to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackman takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Jackman throws a leg kick
enabling Witson to counter with a crisp jab.
Jackman throws a low kick but it's checked well by Witson.

Witson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Witson lands a big head kick that sends Jackman to the canvas! Witson follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
