The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Je tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Face steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Je. That one must have hurt.
Je connects with a high kick.
Face drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
We've been told by Face's head coaches at Sweet Science Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Face ducks under a wild hook from Je.
Face takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
The crowd cheers as Je lands an impressive looking overhand right. Face doesn't seem phased though.
Je cracks the inside of Face's front leg.
Je misses with a hook. Face ducked under it nicely.

Je loads up on a big right hand but Face slips the punch.

Je throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Je throws a front kick that sends Face stumbling back into the cage.

Je lands a nice shot that snaps Face's head back.
Face misses with a wild body shot.
Face thows a body shot but no joy.
Face throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A swing and a miss from Je.
Face on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Je is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Face had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Face jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Face is looking to wear down Je with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Je lets loose with a powerful body kick. Face will feel that in the morning.

Face tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Crunch! Je slams his shin into Face's torso.
Face drops his hands momentarily and Je takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Je has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Face uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Je.

Face throws a lazy right hand but Je sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Face bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Je defending well as Face loads up on a big left hand.
Ray Je seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Face looks to land a combination but Je avoids it well.
Je cracks Face with an open hand slap.
Je moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Je lands with an uppercut that bounces Face off the cage and back into range.
Je thows a body kick. Face tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Je lands a front kick.
Je lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Face is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Je throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Face looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Je dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Face. That did some damage!

Face is rocked!
Je fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Face.
Je lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh Face is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Je drops Face with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Face! Je dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
