Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Patrick Mc GInnley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yoko Zuna!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mc GInnley swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Zuna.


It looks like Yoko Zuna has been cut.
No joy there for Mc GInnley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zuna closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Mc GInnley misses with a few strikes there.
Mc GInnley tries to bum rush Zuna with a series of wild strikes but Zuna uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zuna's coach down at Iron Fist Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Zuna's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Mc GInnley throws a nice looking combination but Zuna bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mc GInnley throws a looping overhand right but Zuna ducks down to avoid it.
Zuna shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mc GInnley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Mc GInnley gets underhooks to prevent Zuna's takedown attempt.
Zuna tries to score a body lock takedown but Mc GInnley shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Patrick Mc GInnley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoko Zuna.

Zuna is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mc GInnley is defending well.

Zuna has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mc GInnley after a bit of a struggle.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mc GInnley takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Zuna has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mc GInnley avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Mc GInnley just misses with a elbow thrown towards Zuna's brow.

Mc GInnley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mc GInnley scores with a one two! Zuna had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Mc GInnley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zuna swats away the attempt to clinch by Mc GInnley.

Zuna closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zuna lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Zuna throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mc GInnley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Zuna with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Zuna looking to sit in guard and control but Mc GInnley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mc GInnley won't allow Zuna to get back to his feet.
Mc GInnley wants to control from the top but Zuna keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mc GInnley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Zuna looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Zuna looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Zuna!

Mc GInnley is trying to escape the position but Zuna is controlling the position.
Zuna lands a decent elbow from side control.
The ground and pound from Zuna seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Zuna is looking to take a break and control but Mc GInnley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Zuna in side control, throwing shots but Mc GInnley defends.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Patrick Mc GInnley will probably get the nod.

Mc GInnley pushes Zuna away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Zuna gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zuna cracks Mc GInnley with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Zuna immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Mc GInnley is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Zuna!
