Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monte Melkonian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Nickels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melkonian comes to the cage accompanied by Artsakh Music. Nickels has chosen Hail To The King as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Monte Melkonian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Nickels!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickels throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Melkonian moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Nickels connects with a body shot.
Melkonian dives in for a single leg takedown but Nickels sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Melkonian has Nickels pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nickels manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Melkonian breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nickels drops Melkonian with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Melkonian looks back up at him and smiles so Nickels waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Melkonian is rocked!
It looks like Monte Melkonian has been cut.
Nickels fakes the body blow, causing Melkonian to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Melkonian goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mike Nickels!
Mike Nickels decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
