Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nikolos Pachiaveni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nikolos Pachiaveni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julio Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pereira shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Pereira controls from within his opponent's guard.
Pachiaveni is looking to stand back up but Pereira counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Pachiaveni.
Pachiaveni is trying to stand up here but Pereira is controlling him well.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Julio Pereira wasn't active enough on the ground.
Pachiaveni lands a nice looking body shot.

Pachiaveni moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Pachiaveni throws a head kick that misses.
Pachiaveni looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pereira is fending him off so far but Pachiaveni persists. Nope, Pereira circles away and we're back to standing.
Pachiaveni swings for the body but Pereira moves out of range.

Pereira is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pachiaveni's half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pereira decides to return to a standing position.
Pachiaveni connects with a high kick.

Pereira rushes Pachiaveni and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Pereira's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A combination from Pachiaveni does no damage.

Pereira shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pereira was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The strikes coming from Pereira are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Pachiaveni trying to remain calm as Pereira controls from the top position.
Pereira throws a strike aimed at the side of Pachiaveni's head but Pachiaveni avoids it well.
Pachiaveni can't do much from the bottom here.

Pereira decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pachiaveni to his feet.
Pachiaveni looks for the body kick but Pereira saw that one coming.
Pachiaveni looks to clinch

and Pereira counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Pereira manages to break the clinch.

Pereira scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Pachiaveni is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pereira asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Pereira is looking to take a break and control but Pachiaveni is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pereira tries to move to mount but Pachiaveni blocks the move with his legs.
Pachiaveni is looking for a sweep.

Pachiaveni struggling a bit here.
Pereira just content to control the position.
Let's hope that Pereira has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Julio Pereira.
Pereira looks for a takedown but Pachiaveni sprawls well.
Pachiaveni is looking to clinch but Pereira is avoiding it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pachiaveni lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pachiaveni throws a head kick that Pereira semi-blocks.
Pachiaveni closes the distance and clinches up with Pereira, looking for a takedown. Pachiaveni pushes Pereira against the cage but Pereira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Julio Pereira dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Pachiaveni fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pereira.
Pachiaveni lands a high kick!
Pereira tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pachiaveni sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pereira somewhat.
Pachiaveni moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Pereira instigates a clinch.

Pereira turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Pereira tries to score with some ground and pound. Pachiaveni controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Pereira cracks Pachiaveni with a big elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pachiaveni is trying to control Pereira's posture but Pereira avoids it.
Pachiaveni is trying to improve his position.
Pachiaveni is working hard here to advance position.

Pachiaveni looks to move to half guard but instead Pereira has passed into mount! Damn!
Pachiaveni is squirming around, avoiding Pereira's attempts to control the action.
Pachiaveni wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Pereira.
Pereira wants to control the pace but Pachiaveni is squirming around nicely.
Pachiaveni is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Pereira takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Pachiaveni is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Pachiaveni working to try and regain half guard.
Pereira controlling the position easily from mount.
Pereira lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Pereira misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Pachiaveni takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Pereira has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee warns Pachiaveni that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Pereira is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Pereira extends the arm and Pachiaveni is forced to tap!
