Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jono Levero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jing Ya Xu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jing Ya Xu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ya Xu has closed the distance and engaged Levero in a clinch.

Levero jumps guard but Ya Xu stands there with Levero around his waist. Levero gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Levero drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ya Xu gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Ya Xu throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Levero blocks it with crossed arms.

Levero tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ya Xu smiles and moves away.

Levero changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ya Xu tries to avoid it but Levero manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ya Xu to the ground. Ya Xu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ya Xu throws a body punch but Levero moves out of range.

Jono Levero's cut is getting worse.
Ya Xu misses with an elbow strike.
Ya Xu is pressed up against the cage. Levero has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ya Xu down to the mat. Ya Xu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ya Xu just misses with a elbow thrown towards Levero's brow.
Levero is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ya Xu gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Ya Xu creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Levero's defenses.

The is referee keeping an eye on Ya Xu - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ya Xu takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ya Xu tries a head kick but it misses.

Levero is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ya Xu misses with a few strikes there.
Levero tries for a takedown but Ya Xu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Ya Xu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Levero closes the distance and clinches up with Ya Xu, looking for a takedown. Levero pushes Ya Xu against the cage but Ya Xu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jono Levero. That's going to take a lot out of him.
