PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trey Burke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raoul Kenshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Burke might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to LOSE YOURSELF. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Trey Burke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Raoul Kenshiro!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burke closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kenshiro is trying to stall.

Burke manages to break the clinch.
Kenshiro missing with a left hand there. Burke was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Burke feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Burke tries to free his leg and advance position but Kenshiro is retaining full guard.

Burke decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Burke misses with a series of wild punches.
Kenshiro connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


It looks like Trey Burke has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kenshiro. Burke does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kenshiro lands a really nice looking cross but Burke seems unphased.
Kenshiro thows a body shot but no joy.
Kenshiro looks to score with a jab to the body but Burke is just out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Burke shoots in and bounces Kenshiro off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kenshiro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burke defends well.

Burke avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Burke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kenshiro is working an open guard so Burke takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kenshiro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kenshiro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Burke moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kenshiro misses with the combination.
Burke showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kenshiro.
Kenshiro throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Raoul Kenshiro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kenshiro misses with a wild body shot.
Burke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kenshiro manages to avoid it.
Burke has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Burke looking to score a takedown here. Kenshiro is defending well but Burke drives through and ends up in Kenshiro's guard.

Kenshiro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Burke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kenshiro is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Burke rolls with it to try and escape but Kenshiro cranks on the arm and Burke is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Raoul Kenshiro!
In defeat, Trey Burke stepped up to the mic, saying 'I WILL BECAUSE HIM BECAUSE THE JUDGE COMPLETILY SEE WRONG THINGS IN COURT'.
