Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piolet Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson comes to the cage accompanied by Jaded. Piolet Wilson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Piolet Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Potter!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Potter.

Potter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Potter drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wilson prevents the takedown attempt.
Potter has Wilson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wilson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Piolet Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Potter.
Wilson is trying to break the clinch but Potter is controlling him.
Wilson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Potter.
Potter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wilson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Potter wants a takedown.
Potter has Wilson pressed against the cage, preventing Wilson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Potter wants to take the fight to the mat but Wilson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Potter prevents Wilson from breaking the clinch.

Potter tries for a takedown but Wilson manages to get underhooks.

Potter lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Potter works his way into full mount!

Potter is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wilson is surviving well by controlling Potter's body position as best he can.

Potter is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Wilson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Wilson shrugs it off.

Potter is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wilson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Potter with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Potter working for a submission but Wilson is keeping him at bay.
Wilson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Potter on the ground.

Potter working for a guillotine from mount but Wilson is in no mood to give up.
Potter wants to control the pace but Wilson is squirming around nicely.

Potter has control of Wilson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wilson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Potter looking to control and managing it successfully.

Wilson is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Potter goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Wilson turns into him and now he's in Potter's guard.
Potter is controlling Wilson's posture.
Potter tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Potter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wilson defends well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Potter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Potter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Potter dominated that round.
That's time! Wilson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Potter dives in and grabs Wilson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wilson pushes down on Potter's head and hops out.
Nice sprawl there from Wilson as Potter shoots in.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Potter. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Horrible takedown by Potter or perhaps it was just good defense by Wilson which made him look bad.

Wilson gets underhooks to prevent Potter's takedown attempt.
Potter goes for a takedown attempt but Wilson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Potter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Potter is breathing heavily.
Potter shoots in for a double leg but Wilson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

letting Wilson counter with a right hand.


It looks like Bob Potter has been cut.
Potter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wilson as he avoids it easily.
Potter fails to land the takedown.
Wilson is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Potter like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Potter from another fist facial!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Piolet Wilson!
