PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hybrid System (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Guoga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guoga has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Tony Guoga will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hybrid System!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Guoga!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guoga pulls out of a head kick attempt.
System looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from System.
Guoga misses with a head kick.
Guoga looks winded!
Guoga wants to clinch.
Guoga looks for the body kick but System saw that one coming.
System throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guoga's waist but Guoga gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing System off to one side.
Guoga swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Guoga on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by System. System obviously looking to wear him down.
System shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hybrid System. That's going to take a lot out of him.

System instigates a clinch.

System decides to pull guard.

Guoga has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing System to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Guoga is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - System pulls down on the head and he's put Guoga to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Hybrid System!
