Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes to the cage accompanied by R.Kelly- The worlds greatest. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, James White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Speed!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White misses with a lunging right hand

and Speed counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Speed lands a takedown into guard.
Speed content to stall in guard here.
Speed is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Speed slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tyson Speed.
White throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Speed counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Speed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Speed looking to pass the guard.
Speed trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Speed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Speed showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Speed gets to his feet. White looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

White gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Speed to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Speed stays in close to White's body and controls the position.
White manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Speed manages to get himself to full guard.
White wants to stand but Speed is controlling his posture from full guard.

Speed wriggles free and stands up.

Speed drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Speed is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
White wants to stand and escape but Speed is having none of it.
White avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
White can't keep his opponent in guard - Speed advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

White actively working from the bottom here.
Speed has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Speed with the ground and pound from mount.

Speed in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Speed controlling the position easily from mount.
White is desperately trying to improve his position but Speed has a good base and remains in mount.
Speed is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Speed lands with some vicious ground and pound - can White hang on?
Speed content just to control the position here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Speed trying to control but White is having none of it.

White throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
White sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Speed trying to mount his opponent but White defends it.

Speed decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
White throws a lazy uppercut
and Speed counters with a right hand to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Speed shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts White as he jumps to the side.

A momentary lapse in concentration from White enables Speed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. White manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Speed is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson Speed dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


White throws a lazy uppercut
and Speed counters with a big head kick but White shrugs it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Speed drives through with a takedown into White's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Speed's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Let's hope that Speed has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

White looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Speed showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Tyson Speed has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
White throws out a loose jab but Speed uses good head movement to avoid it.

White wants to stand and escape but Speed is having none of it.
Speed passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Speed has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Axia Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Speed decides to stand up, so the ref orders White to his feet.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Speed darts in and clinches White up against the cage.
White jumps guard but Speed turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
White tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Speed just stands there and leans against the cage.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James White. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Speed has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics White uses from the top position.
White wants to control from the top but Speed keeps moving.
Speed has his hands on White's head, controlling the position.
Speed has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Speed working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from White.

White is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Speed is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Speed has escaped and now he's on top!

Speed is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Speed tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard.
White wants to get back to his feet but Speed passes into half guard.

Speed stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Speed steps to the side to avoid the strikes from White.

Speed darts in and clinches White up against the cage.
White tries to pull guard but Speed holds him up against the cage and eventually White drops back down to his feet.
White jumps guard but Speed stands there with White around his waist. White gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

White tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Speed smiles and moves away.
Speed lands with a kick to the ribs.
James White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Speed gets a double leg takedown into White's guard.
Speed pushes down on White's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Speed performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
White wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson Speed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! White's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Speed fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. White sprawls well initially but Speed persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Speed lands with a punch from half guard.
Speed with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Tyson Speed has got the better of the ground game so far.

Speed seems to be working for a kimura but White defends the submission attempt.
Speed stops White from getting back to his feet.
Well, if Speed is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tyson Speed hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
White misses with an uppercut

and Speed counters by moving into the clinch.

Speed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
White throws a right hand that misses

and Speed counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Speed keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
White is looking for a sweep. Speed is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Speed looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

White is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Speed pulls his head out easily.

Speed is controlling the pace.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tyson Speed seems to be getting the better of the standup.
White throws a left and a right that both miss
and Speed counters with a low kick, right behind White 's knee.

White rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Speed counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Speed.

Speed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Speed lets loose with a powerful body kick. White will feel that in the morning.
James White is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
White lands a glancing blow to the side of Speed's head.

Speed shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Speed showed some decent athleticism there.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Speed connects with a nice short shot to White's temple.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Speed content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Speed escapes and gets back to his feet.

Speed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Speed shoots in and bounces White off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Speed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard.
James White has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Speed throwing strikes from guard but White blocks nicely.
White can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Speed controls the pace.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

White working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Speed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Speed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Tyson Speed is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Speed gets to his feet. White looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Tyson Speed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Speed has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
