The crowd seem to be enjoying Veljko's choice of entrance music: Stemm - Face the pain. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Bembol Oblaks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Sinisa Veljko!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oblaks shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Oblaks avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Oblaks doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Veljko cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Oblaks fails with the takedown.

Oblaks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Oblaks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Oblaks would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Oblaks gets to his feet. Veljko looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Veljko misses with a hook.
Veljko connects with a looping right hand.
Oblaks dives in for a single leg takedown but Veljko sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bembol Oblaks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Oblaks is looking to take this one to the mat.

Veljko tightens his grip and picks Oblaks up, before dumping him to the ground. Oblaks manages to land in guard.
Oblaks can't keep his opponent in guard - Veljko advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Oblaks regains full guard. Nicely done.
Veljko postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Oblaks keeping moving, preventing Veljko from controlling successfully.

Oblaks has his feet on Veljko's thighs here. He's pushed Veljko off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Veljko screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bembol Oblaks!
An out of breath Bembol Oblaks thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
