Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy West!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kain Velasquez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West shoots in and drives through. Velasquez sprawls well.
Velasquez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. West doesn't seem bothered though.
West shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Velasquez pinned against the cage. Velasquez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
West shoots for a takedown but Velasquez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy West. That's going to take a lot out of him.
West wants to clinch.
Velasquez lands with a kick to the ribs.

Velasquez throws a quick head kick that skims the top of West's head.
It looks like Randy West has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Donk. Velasquez catches West right on the button with a cross.
West looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Velasquez throws a left that rocks West and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Velasquez dives into side control, looking to finish! Can West regain composure!

Velasquez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused West some visible discomfort.
Randy West's cut is getting worse.

Velasquez decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Velasquez plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jeez, Randy West's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Kain Velasquez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Velasquez punishes West's body with a nice straight punch.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for West. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Randy West's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
